There are moments in life when the unexpected brings us to our knees. Loss, grief, uncertainty, and even the ordinary chaos of little ones at home can reveal how deeply we need the Lord.
One of my favourite quotes by C. H. Spurgeon says, “I have learned to kiss the waves that throw me against the Rock of Ages.”
Personally, we have walked through grief — the loss of a friend, a miscarriage, and the long, painful journey of my mom’s undiagnosed illness over the past three years. And yet, by God’s grace alone, we have witnessed this truth: even if He does not answer as we hoped, our hope remains in Him alone.
He is faithful. He is able. He is good.
Our faith rests not only in what He does for us, but in who He is. And by His power at work within us, we are able to sing, even here:
“It is well with my soul.”
